Course Description

Being able to actively participate in meetings and present your own project convincingly will help you to succeed in your career. This course helps you to develop these skills while studying in English. It shows you effective strategies for holding successful meetings in English. It also gives you keys to write and present convincing project or research proposals. As part of this, you will improve your understanding of key language and specialist vocabulary in your own field.
You will bring everything you learn together, to create and practice delivering your own project or research proposal.

The course is divided into two parts:

• Part 1: English for meetings + writing a project or research proposal
• Part 2: presenting your proposal (advanced presentation skills)

 

Learning Outcome

  • Capacity to understand/produce scientific English for francophones

Prerequisites

  • UE 705, UE 805

  • Carry out a complex project with rigor, while working autonomously and in a team
  • Explain and document the implementation of a technical solutions
  • Develop an argument using critical thinking skills
